Andrew Altfest, CFP, MBA
Andrew advises clients about their personal finances and drives financial planning strategies for team members across the firm. Andrew has received numerous awards including Best-In-State Wealth Advisor in New York City by Forbes, Young Advisor to Watch by Financial Advisor, Forbes’ list of America’s Top Next-Generation Wealth Advisors, and InvestmentNews’ list of 40 Under 40 in the financial advisory industry.
He received his BA with honors from Cornell University, and his MBA from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business. He also is a CFP® licensee. Andrew has appeared regularly in the press, including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg News and Dow Jones. Andrew is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and chair of the New York City chapter.
Jessica Nelson, CPA, CFP
Prior to joining Altfest as a financial advisor, Jessica was a senior tax accountant within the financial services high net worth individual tax practice at Deloitte and Ernst and Young. Before that, Jessica was an independent auditor at Ernst and Young within the Banking and Capital Markets sector.
Jessica earned a MS in Financial Management and a BBA in Public Accounting from Pace University. Additionally, she is a CPA licensed in the State of New York and a CFP® professional.
Eric Nelson, CFP, CLU, MBA
Eric works with clients and their families providing comprehensive financial planning and investment advice. He has experienced numerous market cycles which gives him a unique perspective to counter the “drive-by” nature of financial reporting so prevalent in our media today. Prior to joining Altfest, traded options on the New York Futures exchange, served as a Repo Trader with Donaldson Lufkin and Jenrette, and served as a Financial Advisor with both Northwestern Mutual and Prudential.
Because of his unique career history, he provides a balanced perspective on the various aspects of financial planning, both risk mitigation and wealth accumulation. Eric earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Dartmouth College and his MBA in Finance from New York University. He also holds the CFP© designation.
Keven DuComb, JD, MBA
Keven works with clients across the firm to develop and fine tune their estate plans so that they can implement their wishes in the most efficient and cost-effective way across all generations. Prior to joining Altfest, Keven began his career as a practicing attorney and has also worked as a trust officer for two large bank corporate trustees.
Keven has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan, a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Michigan Law School and an MBA from the Michigan Ross School of Business.
